Wedding Invitation
Visual Identity
Invitation Design
I was tasked to create a visual identity and wedding invitation for Gabriella and Raymond. Heavily inspired by children’s storybooks and its imaginative and whimsical storytelling, the invitation and collateral incorporate etched illustrations with loose and dynamic brush strokes while still keeping the entire feel of the invite elevated and elegant.

Logo
Inspired by the nature of hand movements, the logo captures the gestures of fairies waving their wands and the fluidity of an artist’s brush. The ear on the ‘g’ reflects the lively and imaginative nature of children’s storybooks and fairytales.
Typography
The typography conveys the whimsical nature of children’s storybooks and Art Nouveau illustrations. Drawn to its elegant yet flamboyant nature, like its name suggests, Fleur depicts the delicateness of flowers and memories associated with weddings.
Color Palette
Green is Gabriella’s favorite color, so it was a big priority for the bulk of the designs to emphasize her love for the color. In order to match theme and feeling of the decor, I decided to use emerald and forest greens as the main colors, adding a little bit of blue, purple and yellow as secondary colors to brighten and liven up the mood.
Illustration
I worked together with an illustrator in creating the illustrations. The bride and groom specifically requested for the illustrations to be an etching art style with the addition of the organicness of pencil/brush strokes.
Invitation Design
There are two invitations that were requested, one for the holy matrimony and the other for the reception. Although the events were held in different parts of the world, I wanted both the invitations to feel different enough from each other but still keep its cohesiveness through the color palette and use of illustration.
Extended Designs
With the illustrations, I expanded from the invite and created place cards, menus, table numbers, booklets, and photobooth print out designs.

This was a project that kept on expanding as time went on. It’s taught me a lot on working with vendors, and just how important it is to have good communication with the vendors so we both understand what can and will be done. A big thank you to Axioo, Joe Setiawan, and Himawan Satrio for capturing the memories, invitation, and collateral. Hi Idilis for bringing the invitation, place cards, and table numbers to life. Jessica Susilo for bridging the concept of the illustrations from an array of words to illustrations.
