Sticker Design

MILLU creates immersive educational experiences for families to play, learn, and grow together. Creating create kits that are the perfect tool that provides easy yet deep guided activities for parents and kids to bond and play together. MILLU uses concepts of play therapy and neuroplasticity and social-emotional learning.

My role as a designer was to create design assets and illustrations for stickers, pins/buttons, and the main banner they will be showcasing during the conference.

Character Banner
Version 1
Inspired by the idea of sticking post-it notes on a board and the “My Name is _____” nametag, I created a version where the character’s traits are inside the post-it notes to create a divider between the other traits and for an easier read.

Version 2
Inspired by the idea of growth, I wanted to incorporate a garden of flowers to represent the idea of growth. Since there’s a lot more space to play with in this version, the traits live within the background.

Version 3
The team and I decided that it was better to create a banner that showed all the characters’ traits instead of separate posters. I decided to incorporate a garden and illustrated the various flowers that can grow there.

Final Version
By reducing the amount of traits and adding the colored background to the banner, it was a much easier and faster read all throughout as it separated the information of each character from each other.

Die Cut Stickers
All Iterations
Based on the affirmations the team and I brainstormed, I illustrated what each affirmation would look like with the characters. The affirmations are based on the unique traits of each character. Something they would say to others.

Final Version
The team and I chose our favorites for each character and added a light beige background to make the colors a lot softer. The stickers were then die cut around the characters.

Circle Stickers

1” Stickers: Round 1
These were the first iterations for the stickers that were used as small 1” stickers to keep or stick somewhere on a guest’s badge.

1” Stickers: Final Version

2” Superhero Stickers: Round 1
For the first few iterations for the superhero version of the SuperCrew, I played with the scale of the characters and seeing how it would work with a background color or text circling around the full-bodied character.

2” Superhero Stickers: Final Round
The final round includes the MILLU logo for more branding, in addition to the zoomed in superhero crew.

Pictures from the Conference!
Although this project had a lot of assets to pump out and had quite a quick turnaround time, it felt really great to see the assets I created together with the head of design, Shirleen, out of the screen and in real life.

Biggest shoutout and thank you to Sarah, Sena, Shirleen, Johann, Maddie, and Stephen for being such amazing creatives and understanding buddies to work with.
